Accessibility Statement

How accessible this website is, how we test it, what we know is not yet right, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.

Smart Station (Pty) Ltd · Last updated 30 July 2026

1. Our target

We build this website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

This statement covers the public marketing website. The signed-in application is on a continuous improvement path and is not covered by the conformance claim below.

2. Where we are

Substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with the known exceptions listed below.

That claim is backed by an automated check that runs against every page of the site on each build. It fails the build if any page scrolls horizontally at a 320-pixel viewport, or if any interactive control is smaller than 24 by 24 pixels. Both are WCAG 2.2 criteria that are commonly missed.

Automated testing does not prove conformance. It catches the mechanical failures reliably and says nothing about whether our language is clear or our headings make sense.

3. What we do

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, one main heading per page, and headings that do not skip levels.
  • A skip link as the first thing in the tab order.
  • Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring that is never removed.
  • Colour contrast measured rather than assumed. Body text and small red text both exceed 4.5:1 against their background.
  • Content reflows to a single column at 320 pixels. Wide tables scroll inside their own container instead of pushing the page sideways.
  • Interactive targets of at least 24 pixels, and primary buttons of at least 44.
  • Sticky-header offset on anchored links, so a target is never hidden behind the navigation when it receives focus.
  • Animation limited to two subtle effects, both disabled when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Visible labels on every form field. We do not use a placeholder as a label.

4. Known limitations

  • Product interface images are illustrative. They carry an empty alt attribute and the surrounding text describes what they show, but a screen-reader user does not get the detail inside them.
  • PDF documents offered for download are not tagged for accessibility.
  • The site is a single-page application and needs JavaScript for navigation.
  • We do not actively test against older browsers or every assistive technology combination.
  • The signed-in application has not been audited to the same standard.

5. Telling us about a problem

Email hello@getshopsync.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Please include the page address and what went wrong.

We aim to respond within five business days. If you need something on this site in a different format, tell us what would work and we will provide it.

6. Review

This statement was prepared on 30 July 2026 and is reviewed at least annually, and after any significant redesign.

Anything here you would like explained?

If a clause affects a decision you are making, ask us. We would rather answer it now than have you find out later.
